PACKAGING & RETAIL

Most of our products are not sold in retail stores and are not display packed. Instead, they are packaged in recyclable cardboard box to reduce waste and cost. The result is a high quality product at a competitive price.

BIG BOX RETAILERS

Our deadbolts and locksets are head and shoulders above the locks you’ll find at a local big box store.  In recent years, manufacturers have chosen to cut corners as they elbow for shelf space. For example, Schlage changed the design of their F Series Locksets from a solid metal keyway to a 2 piece snap together unit.  This has caused many locks to fail.  Schlage does sell other locks that are highly recommended, but their entry level line lacks in quality.

Manufacturers with lessened quality to watch are Schlage, Kwikset, Baldwin, and Defiant. Typically the entry level models are the ones that bear the brunt of the quality cuts, while the mid level models are recommended. It’s difficult to tell when looking at the product, but there is a reason why almost all the entry level locks are under $25.
