
About the Role
Part-Time Security Technician (Training Provided)
You do not need prior experience — we provide full training.
Our technicians work with things like door hardware, locks, automatic door operators, and basic electronic security systems.

For the first 45-day trial period, scheduling will be based around your availability before, during, or after school, work, or other responsibilities.
We ask for 3 consecutive days per week, with a minimum of 4 hours per day.
Security Lock strives to maintain at least 12 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours depending on workload.
--Pay--
During the 45-day trial period:
Paid as 1099 subcontractor @ $18/hr
Checks issued 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month
After successful completion of the trial period:
$500 completion bonus
Transition to W-2 payroll
Direct deposit every other week
--Work Environment--
Our work happens in real buildings with real doors, not behind a desk.
We work with buildings, doors, control panels, low voltage relays and power tools — every job is a little different and every day involves solving practical problems.
This means:
Working indoors and outdoors
Michigan weather can be unpredictable — sometimes summer, winter, and rain all in the same day
Comfortable working in summer heat, winter cold, and occasional rain or snow
-Physical Requirements-
This job involves hands-on work and light construction tasks. Applicants should be able to:
Climb 6–14 ft ladders safely
Lift and carry 50–100 lbs at ground level
Work with hand tools and power tools
Move equipment and materials around job sites

Show up for work as agreed
Send in hours worked and job notes for each day via Google Drive
Complete tasks carefully without damaging customer or company property
Maintain a good driving record (no more than one minor ticket in 12 months)
Complete required payroll paperwork and provide documentation authorizing work in the United States
Because we schedule work for customers in advance, reliability matters.
If you accept a service assignment, we count on you to complete the job as agreed.

Requirements
Valid Michigan Driver License
Applicants must pass a background check and have a driving and criminal history compatible with working in security-sensitive environments and operating company vehicles.
Required 1 year locksmith, metal working, or other trade skills or relevant experience.
Candidates should reside within a short commute from our HQ in Brighton, MI
